5. Risk Assessments
We will carry out suitable and sufficient risk assessments where required. These may cover office working, electrical equipment, slips and trips, fire safety, display-screen equipment, manual handling, lone working, events, visitors and other significant risks associated with our activities.
6. Office and Display Screen Safety
We aim to maintain safe, clean and suitable workplaces with appropriate lighting, ventilation, temperature, access and welfare facilities. Employees who regularly use display-screen equipment should arrange their workstations appropriately, take suitable breaks or changes of activity and report workstation concerns.
7. Electrical Safety
Electrical equipment should be suitable for its intended purpose and maintained appropriately. Damaged or unsafe equipment must not be used and electrical sockets or extension leads must not be overloaded.

Employees should familiarise themselves with fire exits, escape routes, alarms and assembly points. Fire exits must remain clear, and fire equipment must not be interfered with.
If a fire is discovered:

- Evacuate using the nearest safe exit.
- Do not delay to collect belongings.
- Proceed to the assembly point.
- Call 999 where necessary.
- Follow instructions.
- Do not re-enter until authorised.

Appropriate first-aid arrangements will be maintained. Work-related accidents, injuries, significant incidents and relevant near misses should be reported promptly and recorded appropriately.
Where an incident is legally reportable, the company will comply with applicable requirements, including RIDDOR where relevant.
10. Visitors, Applicants and Contractors
We will take reasonable measures to protect visitors and applicants attending premises under our control.
Contractors are expected to work safely and comply with applicable health and safety requirements.
11. Manual Handling and Lone Working
Employees should avoid lifting or moving items beyond their reasonable capability and seek assistance where necessary.
Where lone working presents material risks, proportionate arrangements will be implemented.
12. Smoking, Alcohol and Drugs
Smoking is prohibited in enclosed workplaces in accordance with applicable law. Employees must not undertake work where their ability to work safely is materially impaired by alcohol or illegal drugs.
13. Events and Remote Working
For recruitment events, exhibitions and other off-site activities, appropriate consideration will be given to venue safety, evacuation, equipment, staffing and risks to employees and visitors. Remote workers should maintain a reasonably safe working area and report significant work-related safety concerns.
14. Individual Requirements
Where appropriate, individual circumstances such as pregnancy, disability, temporary restrictions or young-worker status will be considered through appropriate risk assessment and reasonable adjustments.
