This degree programme in Construction Management has been developed to meet the needs of the modern construction industry. It will provide you with the specialised skills and knowledge required to manage a construction project from the time it is conceived and designed all the way through the time it is occupied.

As a result of the nature of the construction business being highly technical, hands-on, and practical, the teaching and learning that takes place in this course mirrors this aspect of the industry. You will study through real life examples, work-related learning, practical workshops, site inspections, and professional guest lecturers from the industry – all of which bring learning to life and make for a vibrant student experience. You will also learn via practical sessions.

You will be able to deliver construction projects in a safe manner, on schedule, within budget, and to the best possible quality and construction standards when you graduate from this programme. You will be able to apply the most important theories, concepts, and principles that are used in construction management, such as measurement, building appraisal and performance, design, and buildability. Additionally, having a solid base in general business management theory will be beneficial to you.
